From the Superintendent

Supt pictureWelcome!

As superintendent of the North Dakota School for the Deaf/Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, I welcome you to browse our website. Our mission as a school and as a resource center is to serve persons who are deaf and hard of hearing of all ages across the great State of North Dakota.

At NDSD/RCDHH, we believe that a person who is deaf or hard of hearing has the right to receive instruction in all aspects of his/her life in order to learn the skills necessary to reach full potential. We have a strong Parent-Infant Program that serves families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing from birth to 3 years. We have highly qualified staff who teach at the NDSD in a school program preschool through 8th grade. Students may choose to live in the dorm while attending school. Our outreach program provides consultation and assessments for students in public schools. Adult outreach assists individuals in accessing services based on the individual's strengths and needs. We put a great deal of emphasis on providing the emotional support that is often needed to work through issues that arise due to a hearing loss.

I am hopeful that you will find the information useful. Should you desire additional information, please feel free to contact me at 701-665-4410 or at
