Welcome to the North Dakota School for the Deaf/Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NDSD/RCDHH) website. NDSD/RCDHH is a division of the Department of Public Instruction, Kirsten Baesler, State Superintendent, and is located in Devils Lake, ND with offices in Grand Forks, Fargo, Bismarck, Underwood, and Minot.  


To develop, coordinate, and maintain a comprehensive continuum of services for all citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing (infants through senior citizens).  


To serve as a State Resource Center to provide advocacy, leadership, and educational expertise for all individuals in North Dakota who are deaf or hard of hearing.

ASL Interpreter at Presidential Press Briefings

Joe Biden will have a sign language interpreter at the daily White House press briefings, it had been announced. White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that the president wants an American Sign Language interpreter to become a regular part of the re-instituted news conferences.

Basic Sign Language-Level 2 for Beginners

Basic Sign Language, Level 2 recorded online classes will be available for viewing until August 31, 2021. Contact NDSD's Tech Coordinator at ndsd.school@k12.nd.us to request directions that will provide viewing accessibility.
